Ragged jack is a puppet, a puppet that walks around, nobody really knows why...he just does.
His origin may be shrouded in mistery, but his travels are not.

jack can't speak, he lacks organs for speech and, as far as he knows, lacks magic habilities. However, Jack can write, and thats how he communicates his name and intentions to people.

"Ragged jack" travels all over the realm, looking for people to help "complete him".

When he became aware, jack was nothing more than a rough wooden body with horrible yarn that connected him to his puppeteer's cross.

on his travels, jack came across a kind tanner's wife that made him 2 acorn-sized leather boots, a traveler's cloak made from an old sock and a leather hat with a stylish sparrow's feather.

Jack found a lonely old lumberjack, a wood-worker in his spare time, who gave him shelter and finished his body, polishing and removing all the rough edges. Jack lived with this old man until the man died, over the course of a few days, jack managed to drag the man to the place where they used to sit down and talk (more like hear the man talk, as Jack can't speak) and properly bury his friend.

a travelling salesman, lost in the woods, was fed by jack with scavenged berries until he could find his way out, out of gratitude he fashioned a blade out a sharp metal shard for jack, complete with a wooden scabbard, so he can fend off wild rodents.

recently Jack found a tailor that, for entertaining his dinner guests, gave him exquisite silk strings from the eastern empires.

how long must he travel before he is completed?

i usually can't draw a character more than once, so i don't call them OC's and start doing meme's and crazy cross-overs or ask for art trades.

BUT!

i really liked this guy...so i think we can expect to see him again someday..maybe someday soon
